600 inches (15.24mm) Sold in.They make sets specifically for the Vanguard, in low, med, high, and I think extra high. 860 inches (21.84mm) Rear hole spacing. You will no doubt void the warranty if you do this.Weatherby Vanguard Scope Mounts Product Dimensions and Weights Front hole spacing. I personally like the option of pre-drilled and tapped receivers on pumps/semi autos unfortunately not all come this way or have to be taken to the gun smith and drilled/tapped.

Weatherby Scope Mounts Install A Rifled
I think these come with a cyl ported choke tube and if you wanted just install a rifled choke tube if you want. There are other ways you could do this like the PA-459 TR, SA-459 TR sight set-up with Picatinny rail and just pull the dot or scope and still leaves the very high regular sights intact. This is where your cantilever barrel mounts comes in handy and switch barrels. In other words if it's set-up for a dot, reflex or scope leave it that way. Just remember this type of system renders the gun pretty much inop for using the guns other barrel sights/beads until you pull the dot & base off which is a pain in the field. Burris also makes relex and regular dot sights that are mounted to bases and might be another option.

I would talk with Weatherby and see if these shotguns will take an after market rifled choke without voiding the warranty if that's something you are looking at.Weatherby Scope Mounts.
And scope, use the IC choke tube and found that that it will really shoot slugs well.Last year I took an 8 point with this set up at 86 yds. Stoeger, which by the way I love and have had no problems with.I found a receiver compatible base which I installed, placed the scope mentioned earlier on.I bought the stoeger when it first came out, nothing available for it either, installed my scope mnt. The only thng I'm throwing out there for thought is when you are buying a shotgun for multi porpose is do your homework and see if it's already drilled, tapped, and what other gucci accessories are out there made for whatever specific gun you are looking at.Get back with us and let us know what exactly you are trying to do ? RonWhat I want is a standard base that I can mount a "Pro Diamond" shotgun scope on.I have a 12 ga. I also think Mung is right Weatherby if they are going to compete in a heavily marketed multi purpose arena they are going to have to come out with a lot more accesories, slug barrels, cantilever mounted barrels and drill & tapped receivers with bases, etc.Any good gunsmith can mate a base to the receiver.
With the same scope system. But would like to build me a 20 ga. I can still handle the 12 ga. Having suffered a broken back several years ago I'm having a little trouble due to the progression of arthritis. Weatherby, I'm trying to build the same system.
I want to say that the base is listed as one that is for one of the mossbergs. Lined it up where I wanted it and marked where I needed the holes drilled and using bit #31 drilled the 4 holes, after center punching of course. After trying all 6 bases I chose the one that seemed to fit best, Weaver #417T. As far as red dots go, I have several but still need a base to put scope, red dot, sights or whatever on.I would like to say that I have posted my problem to a couple of other boards but they can't touch the response you guys have given. Thanks Bigtime, and I am game to any and all ideas you guys might think of.About 3 weeks ago I went to a website that sells scope bases among lots of other stuff'After looking at lots of bases I decided on buying 6 that might work. So I know It'll work on 20 ga.I just need to know which base will fit the weatherby receiver contour if that is the only mounting system that will work for now.

The receiver is aluminum and not very thick but use at least the blue loctite and you should be OK Turned out real straight and professional looking.
